Overview
DMX and Power Cable 3 m in One Sheath with powerCON Input and Output and 3-Pin XLR Black for Daisy Chaining Lights on Stage

The three-metre cable combines two conductors in one sheath, power with powerCON connectors and signal with XLR connectors for DMX control. It connects stage lights to each other so that instead of two cables, only one runs from one device to another. One end carries a blue input powerCON and male XLR, while the other end has a grey-white output powerCON and female XLR. With a length of 3 m, it bridges even larger distances between lights on a truss, stand or structure. The cable is intended as an accessory for stage, club and scene lighting.

  • Common Sheath – the power and signal conductors run together for most of the length in one black sheath and only at the ends do they split into two separate branches. A heat-shrink tubing protects the split, keeping both branches together.
  • powerCON Input and Output – the blue connector serves as the power input, while the grey-white one acts as the output to the next device. Both have a metal latch that secures the connector in the socket upon insertion and prevents it from coming loose. The different colours help distinguish the input from the output even in poor lighting behind the stage.
  • XLR for DMX – the control signal passes through 3-pin XLR connectors in a black housing with a knurled grip. The female has a locking latch, while the male plugs into the DMX output on the rear panel of the light. The XLR connector is separate from the power branch, allowing it to plug into its own socket independently of the powerCON.
  • Daisy Chaining Devices – the output of one light connects to the input of another, allowing power and signal to continue without additional cables. When assembling several lights, the same process is followed, from the first device to the last in the series. The entire series of lights can thus be powered from a single power supply and a single DMX feed.
  • Connector Construction – the power connector consists of an insert with contacts, a housing with a latch, a white internal clamp, and a blue screw cap. The clamp grips the cable, and the cap closes the entire connector from the back.
  • Length 3 m – the cable is suitable where lights are spaced further apart or where it is necessary to route the cable around a structure or truss. After the event, it coils into a loop for storage. It is suitable for moving heads, spotlights, and other lights with powerCON and DMX inputs and outputs.

Package Contents:

  • 1x DMX and Power Cable powerCON 3 m

The cable replaces a pair of separate conductors for power and DMX with one common cable. The locking powerCON connectors ensure a secure connection with the input and output sockets on the lights. The blue and grey-white colours of the connectors immediately distinguish which end belongs to the input and which to the output. Length 3 m provides leeway for routing the cable between lights on stage and across structures. The common black sheath keeps the cabling together and facilitates the setup and dismantling of the lighting rig.
