Overview
Diagnostic and Programming Interface for BMW FEM/BDC with Testing Platform and Black DB25 Connector for Key Programming and Testing

The diagnostic and programming interface is used to connect the FEM and BDC modules of BMW vehicles outside the vehicle, directly on the workbench. Together with key programmers such as GT100, Xhorse VVDI2, VVDI BIM Tool, or Autel IM608, it allows the programming of a new key, adding an additional key, or preparing a replacement FEM/BDC module. It connects to the programmer via the DB25 connector and to the module via quick connectors CON7 and CON8. The platform simulates ignition activation and allows verification of whether the programmed key is correctly synchronised with the module. It is intended for locksmiths, service technicians, and specialists in programming FEM/BDC modules.

  • Key Programming – in conjunction with a compatible programmer, a new key can be programmed, an additional key can be added, or the FEM/BDC module can be replaced. Reading and backing up data after module pre-preparation facilitates the exchange of the immobiliser.
  • Synchronisation Testing – before reinstalling the module back into the vehicle, it is verified whether the programmed key works with the FEM/BDC module. When the key does not start the vehicle, the platform helps determine if there is a mismatch between the key and the module.
  • Module Check – after connection, it is verified whether the FEM/BDC module communicates and whether it shows any faults.
  • Connectors – quick connectors CON7 and CON8 for the FEM/BDC module, connector for the dashboard, and power connector for the module. OEM type quick connectors do not bend the communication pins of the module.
  • Control – button simulating engine start, immobiliser and dashboard indicators, and a recess for inserting the key directly on the body of the platform.
  • Connecting Cable – cable with a DB25 connector and OBD2 socket with a power connector allows the platform to be connected to programmers that use an OBD2 cable.

Package Contents:

  • 1x FEM/BDC testing platform with cables
  • 1x connecting cable from OBD2 to DB25

The interface simplifies working with the FEM and BDC modules of BMW vehicles, as they can be connected and tested without installation into the vehicle. Key synchronisation testing before returning the module to the car helps prevent repeated disassembly. Thanks to the DB25 connector and OBD2 connecting cable, it works with key programmers from various manufacturers, such as Autel IM608 or Xhorse VVDI2. The platform is suitable for locksmith workshops and services that programme FEM/BDC modules or reuse used modules. The compact black body with buttons and indicators takes up little space on the workbench.
