Desktop Acoustic Partition for Microphone Damping Reflections When Recording Vocals and Speech Adjustable Panels with Pyramidal Acoustic Foam

The desktop acoustic partition creates a small recording booth around the microphone right on your desk. The inner side of the panels is covered with acoustic foam with a pyramidal surface, which absorbs sound and limits reflections from walls and furniture. This results in less room echo reaching the microphone, and the recording sounds clearer. The panels can be rotated to surround the microphone from the sides and the back. The partition is a practical aid for recording vocals and speech in a room without acoustic treatment.

  • Acoustic Foam — the foam with a pyramidal relief covers the entire inner side of the panels. The textured surface absorbs sound waves that would otherwise reflect back into the microphone. As a result, the recording is clearer and less burdened by echo.
  • Layered Construction — each panel consists of several layers, as shown in the photographs. Beneath the pyramidal foam is a middle layer, and the back is made of a perforated panel. The partition is made from plastic and foam.
  • Adjustable Panels — the individual panels are connected by joints, allowing you to curve them around the microphone. You can adjust the angle depending on how much space you have on your desk. Option 1 has 3 panels and option 2 has 5 panels.
  • Desktop Design — the partition is designed to be placed on a desk. The bottom edge of the panels has feet, allowing the partition to stand stably.
  • Microphone Placement — position the microphone in the middle between the panels so that the foam is behind it and the open side of the partition is in front. Sing or speak from the open side directly into the microphone. The foam will then capture sound that would otherwise reflect off the wall behind the microphone.
  • Usage — the partition is appreciated when recording both vocals and spoken word. It is particularly helpful in typical living spaces where sound reflects off bare walls, windows, and furniture.
