DDR5 RAM memory is designed for desktop computers built on newer Intel and AMD platforms with DDR5 slots. The module offers 8 GB at a frequency of 4800 MHz, which is the base speed of the DDR5 standard, anticipated by all motherboards of this generation. It operates at voltage 1.1 V, which is lower than that of the previous DDR4 generation. The dimensions of the module, including the cover, are 135 x 41 mm, with the length corresponding to standard desktop DIMM slots. The cover is grey with prominent cutouts on the top edge.
- DDR5 Standard – DDR5 memory divides each module into two separate 32-bit channels and operates with eight groups of banks instead of four as in DDR4. This allows the memory controller to handle more requests simultaneously.
- Frequency 4800 MHz and CL40 – the clock speed of 4800 MHz with a timing of CL40 corresponds to the default specification of DDR5. The motherboard recognises and sets the memory automatically; manual adjustments in the BIOS are not required for normal operation.
- Power Management Directly on the Module – DDR5 shifts voltage regulation from the motherboard to the memory itself. The module is equipped with a dedicated PMIC chip that manages the power supply to individual circuits. This stabilises the voltage in close proximity to the memory chips.
- Capacity 8 GB – sufficient for office applications, education, internet browsing, and video playback. For gaming or graphic work, it is usually advisable to install a pair of modules to enable dual-channel operation. The second module should have the same capacity and frequency.
- Dimensions 135 x 41 mm – the height of 41 mm is determined by the cover, which extends above the circuit board. Before installation, it is advisable to check that the CPU cooler does not interfere with the memory slots. This is a critical specification for smaller cases and large tower coolers.
- Compatibility – the module is only compatible with DDR5 slots. It will not fit into motherboards with DDR4 slots, as the notch in the contact strip is positioned differently for both generations.

The DDR5 8 GB 4800 MHz memory is suitable for building a new desktop computer or for upgrading the memory in a system that already uses DDR5. With a base frequency of 4800 MHz, the module will operate on Intel and AMD motherboards with DDR5 slots without further configuration. Installation is performed with the computer turned off by inserting the module into the slot until the clips click into place. Faulty or damaged goods
Period for claiming a fault: up to six years from delivery of the goods – within the first 30 days you can reject a faulty product and ask for a full refund, and for the first 12 months a fault is presumed to have been present on delivery
How: write to us at info@lunzo.ie and attach a photograph or a video of the goods – in most cases you do not have to send the goods back
Remedies: a replacement with a new item, a reasonable price reduction, or a refund of the full purchase price
