Cover slips measuring 22 x 22 mm in a quantity of one hundred, along with fifty slide glasses, create a comprehensive supply for preparing microscopic specimens. All slips are glass, empty, and pre-cleaned, allowing samples to be applied directly without prior washing. The slide glasses have ground edges and come neatly arranged in a box with a lid. The cover slips are square-shaped and are placed over the sample after it has been applied to the slide glass. This set is intended for basic biological sciences, school practicals, and independent exploration of the micro-world at home.

  • Cover Slips 22 x 22 mm – one hundred thin square slips serve to cover the sample, which spreads into an even layer suitable for observation, while also preventing droplets of water or dye from reaching the objective lens.
  • Empty Slide Glasses – fifty pieces without any applied preparation and without printing, on which samples can be prepared according to personal selection, from plant tissues to fungi and drops of water from ponds.
  • Ground Edges – the ground edges of the slide glasses facilitate handling when applying a drop, placing the cover slip, and inserting the specimen onto the microscope stage.
  • Clean Surface – the slips are ready to use immediately upon opening the package, with no impurities on the surface that could interfere with the sample in the field of view.
  • Clear Glass – transparent glass slips allow light from the microscope illumination to pass through and do not interfere with the appearance of the observed material.

The cover slips measuring 22 x 22 mm provide ample surface area for covering commonly prepared samples, such as thin sections of stems, pieces of leaves, onion skin, yeast, or ciliates from a drop of water. With a total of 100 cover slips and 50 slide glasses, the package is sufficient for a long series of experiments at school or at home. Before applying the sample, simply remove the slip from the box, hold it by the edges, and work directly on the clean surface. Finished preparations can then be labelled and set aside for later viewing or comparison, which is particularly useful for longer projects where the same type of sample is observed repeatedly.
