Carbide V-Bits 90° x 0.3 mm Pack of 10 CNC Engraving Bits Three-Flute Shank 3.175 mm Length 28 mm Silver Wide Lines

Carbide V-bits with a tip of 90° x 0.3 mm combine a right angle tip with a strong point that has a flat end 0.3 mm wide. They create wide lines with a flat bottom and are suitable for large inscriptions, bold outlines, and bevelled edges. The pack contains 10 pieces of three-flute pyramid bits made of cemented carbide, also known as hard metal. The bits are clamped with a 3.175 mm shank into the collet of a CNC milling machine or engraving machine. They are silver and all have the same dimensions.

  • Opened right angle — the sides of the tip form an angle of 90° and each is inclined 45° from the axis of the bit. The groove is approximately twice as wide as the cutting depth.
  • Strong flat end 0.3 mm — the tip is not sharp but ends in a flat area 0.3 mm wide. Therefore, the tip is sturdier than finer tips and the bottom of the groove is distinctly flat.
  • Tool dimensions — the total length of the bit is 28 mm. The short bit with a low and robust cutting part bends less during engraving.
  • Three-flute pyramid tip — the cutting part in the shape of a triangular pyramid has three flutes that alternate during rotation. Material is removed gradually and chips can exit from three sides.
  • Material of the tool — cemented carbide is harder than tool steel and is commonly used for engraving bits in CNC machines.
  • Shank diameter 3.175 mm — the shank corresponds to 1/8 inch. Clamp the bit into a collet for this diameter, as the 3 mm collet designated for it is not suitable.
  • Line width according to depth — the width of the groove corresponds to double the cutting depth and the width of the tip. At a depth of 0.5 mm, a line approximately 1.3 mm wide will be created, so you can easily plan the width in the program.
  • Bevel 45° — the sides of the tip allow for creating a bevel on the edge of the workpiece at an angle of 45°. This is useful, for example, when finishing the edges of signs, labels, and plates.
  • Bold inscriptions — the bit is suitable for large letters, bold outlines, and decorative motifs, where the line should be clearly visible even from a distance. For small text, narrower angles and finer tips are more suitable.
  • Contents of the package — 10x engraving V-bit 90° x 0.3 mm.

Carbide V-bits 90° x 0.3 mm are suitable for wide lines with a flat bottom, large inscriptions, and bevelled edges at an angle of 45°. The right angle of the tip creates a pronounced groove even at a small cutting depth, and the strong tip is more durable than finer variants. Three-flute bits made of cemented carbide have a length of 28 mm and a shank of 3.175 mm for CNC milling machines and engraving machines. Ten identical pieces in the pack provide a replacement for longer work. They are useful for making signs, labels, inscriptions, and decorative motifs.
