Overview
Car Circuit Tester 26 x 4 cm CNBJ-823 with Voltage Display and Component Activation 6 to 24 V DC with 4.5 m Cable for Automotive Electronics

The CNBJ-823 car circuit tester is designed for checking the electrical systems of vehicles with a nominal voltage of 6 to 24 V DC, including cars, vans, and trucks. By placing the probe against a wire or connector, the digital display shows the current voltage, and a pair of indicator lights simultaneously signals whether it is a positive or negative pole. The tester is powered directly from the car battery using two crocodile clips on a 4.5 m long cable, allowing it to reach around the entire vehicle. A rocker switch allows you to apply positive or negative voltage to the tested point, verifying the function of individual components. The body of the tester measures 26 x 4 cm and features a non-slip ergonomic grip.

  • Voltage and Polarity Measurement – the display shows real-time voltage, the red indicator denotes the positive pole, and the green indicates the negative pole, making it immediately clear what is present on the wire.
  • Component Activation – by switching to plus or minus, voltage from the battery is sent to the probe, allowing you to test relays, electric motors, lights, or switches without disassembly. If the component works when voltage is applied, it is evident that the fault lies in the wiring or control.
  • Additional Tests – the tester can check circuit continuity, verify grounding, test diodes, and locate shorts. When tracking a short, simply probe along the wire with the tip and observe the tester's response.
  • Overload Protection – in the event of a short circuit or excessive current draw, the circuit automatically disconnects, and after the cause is removed, the protection resets itself.
  • Audible and Visual Indication – the speaker provides an audible response during measurement, and the illuminated probe aids in working in poorly lit engine compartments or under the dashboard.
  • Auxiliary Ground Wire – in addition to the cable with battery clips, the tester includes a separate wire with a small crocodile clip, which serves as auxiliary grounding during testing. This is useful, for example, when checking components removed from the vehicle.

Contents of the Package:

  • 1x circuit tester with cable and crocodile clips

The CNBJ-823 tester replaces a standard probe and part of the work done with a multimeter in the workshop, as it can also power components directly in addition to measuring voltage. It is suitable for auto electricians, garages, and DIY enthusiasts dealing with non-functional lights, window winders, fans, or fuses. The 4.5 m long cable allows the tester to be connected to the battery at the front while checking the rear lights or towing equipment. The automatic overload protection reduces the risk of damaging the tester and the vehicle's electronics in the event of an accidental short circuit. With a range of 6 to 24 V DC, one device can be used on both passenger cars and commercial vehicles without needing to change the device according to the type of vehicle.
