Candle and soap moulds
With a good mould, homemade candles and soaps get a crisp shape and fine detail. Choose from silicone moulds with flowers, hearts, geometric shapes or figures, multi-cavity moulds for small soaps and rigid moulds for pillar and angular candles.
Candle and soap moulds
With handmade candles and soaps, the shape is the first thing people notice. A good-quality mould gives a smooth surface, sharp edges and easy release of the finished piece without cracks.
Silicone moulds are flexible, so set wax and soap pop out with a simple bend. They also suit intricate designs such as roses, bubble cubes, pine cones or Christmas motifs. They withstand the temperature of melted wax and are ready to use again after a wash in warm water.
Multi-cavity soap moulds let you pour a whole set of small soaps at once, for example as favours for guests. You can try melt-and-pour glycerine soap base in them, as well as soaps with herbs or dried flowers. For candles, moulds with a wick hole are worth choosing, as they keep the wick right in the centre.
When choosing, think about the volume and size of the finished piece. The same moulds work for soy wax, paraffin and beeswax, as long as you stick to the recommended pouring temperature. Candle and soap making is a popular hobby for beginners too, and the finished pieces make an original gift.
