These brake sensors are designed for electric bicycles with hydraulic brakes and BAFANG drive. They ensure motor cut-off when braking, so the drive stops working the moment you press the brake lever. The sensor operates on a magnetic principle and consists of a sensor and a small magnet, which are placed near the brake lever. It connects to the control unit or wiring of the bicycle using a 3-pin connector with a male pin configuration. The sensor is attached to the lever using 3M adhesive tape, and the cable can be secured with the included zip ties.
- Motor cut-off function – the sensor monitors the distance between the sensor and the magnet. At a distance of 5–8 mm, the motor operates normally; when the brake is pressed, the distance increases to more than 9 mm, and the power to the motor is interrupted.
- Magnetic principle – the sensor reacts to the change in position of the magnet, which moves along with the brake lever. There is no mechanical contact between the two parts.
- Cable length – the cable from the sensor to the connector measures 76 cm, allowing it to be routed from the handlebars along the frame to the control unit.
- 3-pin connector – the cable ends with a round male connector with three pins. Before installation, please ensure that the connector matches the wiring of your electric bicycle.
- Dimensions of the sensor and magnet – the sensor has a width of 10 mm, and the round magnet with a hole in the middle has a diameter of 10 mm. Due to their small dimensions, both parts take up little space on the lever.
- Attachment with 3M tape – the sensor is equipped with 3M adhesive tape with a red protective film. After removing it, you can stick it onto a clean and dry surface of the lever or its bracket.
- Zip ties – the package includes zip ties for neatly securing the cable to the handlebars or frame.
- Plastic box – small parts are supplied in a transparent plastic box, where they can be stored until installation.
- Colour scheme – both the cable and the body of the sensor are black, while the connector is orange.

Faulty or damaged goods
Period for claiming a fault: up to six years from delivery of the goods – within the first 30 days you can reject a faulty product and ask for a full refund, and for the first 12 months a fault is presumed to have been present on delivery
How: write to us at info@lunzo.ie and attach a photograph or a video of the goods – in most cases you do not have to send the goods back
Remedies: a replacement with a new item, a reasonable price reduction, or a refund of the full purchase price
