Brachyotum ledifolium Seeds 20 pcs Mountain Flowering Shrub with Creamy Pink Hanging Flowers for Sowing and Home Cultivation
You already have the maximum available quantity in your cart.
A larger pack of 20 seeds of Brachyotum ledifolium offers the opportunity for repeated sowings at different times and for raising several plants simultaneously, from which the most vigorous individuals can be selected for your collection. This lesser-known representative of the Melastomataceae family grows in cool mountainous areas of the Andes, where it forms part of the ecosystem known as paramo and occupies places with frequent mist and stable humid air. The main ornamental feature of the plant is its hanging tubular flowers in a combination of light cream and vibrant pink-red colours, which appear gradually at the ends of delicate shoots. Complementing this are small grey-green oval leaves covered with dense hairs, giving the plant a soft and silvery touch. This species will be appreciated by experienced growers, collectors of exotics, and lovers of South American mountain flora who are seeking a truly unusual shrub with high aesthetic value.

Contents of the package:
- 20 pcs of Brachyotum ledifolium seeds
For larger packages, it is advantageous to divide the sowing into several batches and test which timing and conditions provide the best germination for this species. The seeds are small and germinate better in light, so they should be sown on the surface and only lightly pressed into the moist substrate. For successful sowing, it is important to ensure constant air humidity, ideally in a mini-greenhouse or in an improvised indoor greenhouse, where the temperature does not drop below 18 °C. Young seedlings grow slowly and gradually form a compact shrub with typical hairy foliage, which begins to flower in maturity and complements the collection of Andean plants. For wintering, we recommend a bright space with temperatures between 8 and 12 °C, which corresponds to the conditions of the original mountainous habitat. The 20 seeds of Brachyotum ledifolium pack is therefore an excellent choice for anyone looking to engage in the long-term cultivation of this rare Andean woody plant.
