The Baofeng 5R Mini Transceiver is a multi-band two-way radio with a colour display and numeric keypad. It supports Bluetooth for reading and writing frequencies, allowing you to set it up directly from your phone without a programming cable. It offers 999 channels for saving and switching frequencies. The transceiver can pair frequencies and scan multiple bands with a single touch. The multi-band support expands its use compared to standard single-band transceivers. The transceiver operates independently of the mobile network, so it works even where there is no signal. Charging is provided by a modern USB-C port.
The transceiver charges via the USB-C port, so you can recharge it with a standard phone cable. The dual PTT support makes it easier to control two channels and allows for quick transmission. The one-touch frequency tuning feature speeds up pairing with other transceivers. Bluetooth connectivity with the app on your phone simplifies programming compared to the traditional cable. The built-in FM radio allows you to listen to standard radio stations. Adjustable high and low power helps conserve battery as needed. Multi-band scanning searches frequencies and looks for active traffic. The colour display shows two frequencies simultaneously for better overview, and the compact body is easy to hold and carry on a belt.
