Overview
Auto-Darkening Welding Helmet UN106 4 Sensors Viewing Area 100 x 60 mm True Colour Optics 1/1/1/2 Black For ARC MIG and Plasma Cutting

The auto-darkening welding helmet UN106 protects the eyes and face from the radiation of the electric arc, flying sparks, and radiant heat. Optical clarity 1/1/1/2 ensures a clear and undistorted image through the filter throughout the work. Viewing area 100 x 60 mm provides an overview of the weld pool and the immediate surroundings of the weld, which is essential for guiding the bead and checking the result. True Colour technology presents colours more accurately than standard green filters, making it easier to distinguish heated material from the cold surroundings. The filter cartridge measures 114 x 133 x 10 mm and the black shell is complemented by a flip-up mounting on the headgear.

  • Four Arc Sensors — sensors positioned around the viewing area detect the flash even when one of them is covered by a hand, torch, or workpiece, ensuring the filter darkens even in inaccessible positions.
  • Switching Speed — the filter transitions to dark state in 1/30000 s, faster than the arc can dazzle the eyes.
  • Adjustable Delay — the time for brightening from dark to light state can be set with an internal knob within the range of 0.1 to 1.0 s depending on the method and size of the weld.
  • Darkening Range — in the light state, the filter corresponds to a DIN level of 4, while in the dark state, you can choose a range of DIN 5-9 or DIN 9-13 depending on the welding current.
  • Permanent Protection — protection against ultraviolet and infrared radiation at a level of DIN 16 applies even when the filter is not darkened.
  • Low TIG Current — the helmet reacts from a nominal current of 5 A for TIG welding, for both AC and DC sources.
  • Grinding Mode — by switching, you disable the automatic darkening and use the helmet as a protective shield when cleaning and grinding the weld.
  • Replaceable Battery — the battery can be replaced after depletion, so the helmet does not become unusable.
  • Wide Compatibility — suitable for ARC and MIG welding, for spot, micro, and wire welding, for AC and DC sources, and also for plasma welders and plasma cutters.
  • Package Contents — 1x welding helmet with battery, 1x headband, 1x manual

The helmet is suitable for welders, locksmiths, fitters, and DIY enthusiasts during repairs, construction of structures, and locksmith work outside the workshop. Fully automatic on and off means you do not need to switch anything before work and the helmet turns off by itself after being put down. Sensitivity from 5 A makes it usable even for fine welding of thin materials using the TIG method, where weaker helmets do not respond reliably. The possibility of battery replacement extends the lifespan of the entire helmet, as a depleted cell does not result in discarding the device. It is useful in workshops, service centres, and during installations in the field.
