The check valve is a small but important component of the CO2 distribution system in the aquarium. It allows gas to flow in only one direction, from the CO2 source to the aquarium. When the gas supply stops, the valve prevents water from flowing back through the hose to the source. The body of the valve is made of stainless steel and has ribbed ends for the hose on both sides. The direction of flow is indicated by an arrow on the label, making it easy to connect the valve correctly.
- One-way flow — the valve allows CO2 to flow only in the direction of the arrow. No water or gas can pass in the opposite direction, ensuring that the CO2 source remains protected from water intrusion from the aquarium.
- When it helps — water can flow back through the hose, for example, when you turn off the CO2 supply or when the gas runs out. In such situations, the valve will close the flow and the water will remain in the aquarium.
- Direction arrow — on the body of the valve, there is a label with an arrow indicating the flow direction. When connecting, ensure that the arrow points towards the aquarium. If the valve is connected the other way round, the gas will not pass through it.
- Stainless steel — the metal body of the valve is made of stainless steel. This material withstands the humid environment around the aquarium well.
- Dimensions — the valve measures 4 x 0.8 cm and its internal diameter is 4 mm. Due to its small size, it does not obstruct the distribution system.
- Connection — insert the valve into the hose between the CO2 source and the aquarium. Slide the hose onto the ribbed ends on both sides of the valve. Before connecting, ensure that the diameter of your hose matches the valve ends.
- Package contents — 1x check valve. The hose shown in the photographs is not included.
The check valve is a simple safeguard that protects the CO2 distribution system from water backflow from the aquarium. Just insert it into the hose so that the arrow points towards the aquarium. The stainless steel body is durable, and due to its small size, the valve does not obstruct the distribution system. It is suitable for any CO2 system in the aquarium with a hose of the appropriate diameter.

Faulty or damaged goods
Period for claiming a fault: up to six years from delivery of the goods – within the first 30 days you can reject a faulty product and ask for a full refund, and for the first 12 months a fault is presumed to have been present on delivery
How: write to us at info@lunzo.ie and attach a photograph or a video of the goods – in most cases you do not have to send the goods back
Remedies: a replacement with a new item, a reasonable price reduction, or a refund of the full purchase price
