The 3 m photovoltaic extension cable is used to connect a solar panel to a charge controller, inverter, or other wiring in the system. It is supplied as a pair of wires in red and black design, so the polarity is distinguished by the colour of the insulation, making it easy to connect without confusion. The wire has a cross-section of 1.5 mm² according to the designation 16 AWG, which corresponds to common domestic and mobile photovoltaic installations. One end is fitted with a solar connector from the factory, while the other end remains free for connection to a terminal block or for custom termination. The stranded core provides the cable with the flexibility needed for routing around the supporting structure.

The cables are suitable for connecting a panel to a charge controller, extending existing wiring, or replacing a damaged piece in a functional assembly. The free end allows for custom termination — a ferrule, cable lug, or direct connection to a terminal. Three metres in length covers cases where the panel is located in the garden and the controller is inside a shed or caravan. When designing the wiring, keep in mind that voltage drop increases with the length of the run, so choose the shortest reasonable distance. The colour coding of the insulation facilitates polarity checking during any future modifications to the assembly.

Once you have sent the parcel, send us the proof of dispatch with the tracking number to info@lunzo.ie – this lets us process your return as quickly as possible and refund you without waiting for the parcel to arrive.

Exchanges

How: write to us at info@lunzo.ie, giving your order number and the variant you want – once we have checked that it is available, we will send you instructions for the exchange, including the address to which you should send the original item
Costs: you pay to send the original item back; the new variant will be sent to you at no further charge
Faulty or damaged goods
Period for claiming a fault: up to six years from delivery of the goods – within the first 30 days you can reject a faulty product and ask for a full refund, and for the first 12 months a fault is presumed to have been present on delivery
How: write to us at info@lunzo.ie and attach a photograph or a video of the goods – in most cases you do not have to send the goods back
Remedies: a replacement with a new item, a reasonable price reduction, or a refund of the full purchase price
