Overview
27-Piece Tea Ceremony Set with Gaiwan Teapot and Cups on a Wooden Tray Handcrafted Yixing Ceramic for Loose Tea Lovers at Home

The Kung Fu tea set is designed for traditional Chinese preparation of loose tea and combines tableware and auxiliary tools on one surface. The tableware is made of handcrafted Yixing ceramic in a light green shade with painted fish motifs on the walls of the cups. The tray made of solid wood features a gridded top surface, under which water from rinsing the tableware and warming the cups drains away. The set includes a teapot with a lid, a gaiwan with a saucer, a teapot for consolidating tea, tea cups, a strainer, tongs, a brush for the teapot, a tea towel, and two ceramic figurines. The set covers the entire process from steeping to straining and serving to guests.

  • Tray made of solid wood — the gridded surface allows excess water to drain into the space beneath it, enabling the tableware and cups to be poured with boiling water directly during preparation. The corners are reinforced with metal fittings, and a carved plant motif is featured in the centre of the surface.
  • Ceramic teapot — used for steeping loose tea, the high-handle shape allows for pouring without burning fingers.
  • Gaiwan with lid and saucer — an alternative to the teapot, mainly used for finer teas where monitoring the steeping process is necessary.
  • Teapot for consolidating tea — the finished brew is poured into it before being divided into cups, ensuring each has the same strength. The wide spout limits dripping onto the tray.
  • Tea cups — smaller cups with a painted fish motif inside, which appears after drinking the brew. The size is suitable for serving in small portions during the ceremony.
  • Tea strainer — catches leaves when pouring from the teapot into the consolidating teapot, so the tea does not need to be strained additionally.
  • Additional tools — tongs for gripping hot cups, a brush for the teapot, and a textile towel for wiping the tray during preparation.
  • Tea figurines — two ceramic figurines that are poured over with leftover tea during the ceremony, gradually changing the surface colour.

Contents of the package:

  • 1x tray made of solid wood
  • 1x ceramic teapot
  • 1x gaiwan with lid and saucer
  • 1x teapot for consolidating tea
  • 6x tea cup
  • 1x tea strainer
  • 1x tea tongs
  • 1x brush for the teapot
  • 1x tea towel
  • 2x tea figurine

The set includes both the main tableware and small accessories, so there is no need to purchase anything separately. The combination of ceramic and solid wood gives the set a higher weight, ensuring that the tableware remains stable even when handling boiling water. The teapot and gaiwan in one package allow for choosing the steeping method according to the type of tea. The gridded surface of the tray captures water from warming the cups, which is a common part of the Kung Fu method. The set is suitable for daily tea preparation as well as a gift for those interested in tea culture.
