The flat probe at 3.5 MHz is designed to accurately measure backfat thickness on a living animal, that is, without slaughter and without taking samples. You will use the data for managing nutrition and breeding decisions, as it shows how the animal responds to the feed ration. It is most commonly measured in pigs, cattle, and sheep, but the procedure is applicable to other livestock species as well. The measured value is displayed on the 5.6-inch display of the main unit, and you can save it directly to memory.
