Soft Cot Bumper 120 cm Long Flexible Filled Strip with Ties for Padding the Bars from the Inside

The soft cot bumper attaches from the inside to the bars and separates the lying child from the hard frame, while also covering the gaps between the individual bars. Inside the strip is a soft filling, so the wall that the child leans against while lying or playing yields slightly upon touch. With a length of 120 cm, the strip can be stretched along one side of the cot or bent over to the adjacent wall at the corner, depending on where the soft padding is needed. It is secured with tying ribbons that are tied into bows around the bars, posts, and the upper handle of the cot. No screws or tools are required, and it is equally easy to remove the bumper when it gets in the way during cleaning.

  • Flexible Wall – the layer of filling lies in front of the bars, so a little hand or foot touches the soft strip first when reaching through, rather than the hard bar. The edges of the strip are finished with a stitched hem all around, so there are no loose seams sticking out anywhere.
  • 120 cm Long Strip – where the bumper starts and ends is determined only by where the ties are fastened. The arrangement can therefore be changed at any time, for instance, when the cot is moved and turned to face another wall.
  • Bows on the Bars – each of the tying ribbons wraps around a bar or post and is tied into a bow. The ribbons extend from both the top and bottom edges of the strip, allowing it to be secured at the handle as well as lower down at the base. A well-tightened knot prevents the strip from sliding down to the mattress.
  • Concealed Gaps – where the strip runs, gaps between the bars remain covered, and a plush toy or rattle leaning against the wall cannot slip out of the cot. From the inside, only a continuous soft surface is visible instead of a series of bars.
  • Bedding Change – before changing the sheets, simply loosen the bows and set the bumper aside. The mattress then remains freely accessible from all sides, making it easier to stretch the sheet. Replacing it is done in the same way, just in reverse order.
  • Storage – after removal, the strip can be folded into a smaller area or rolled up and stored in a cupboard until it is needed again, perhaps for another child or a different cot.

Thanks to the bumper, the inside of the cot gains a soft wall in places where the child would otherwise face bare bars. The flexible strip adapts to both a straight wall and a corner, and in both cases, it holds on bows tied around the bars. The ribbons can be tied to bars, posts, and the upper handle, depending on what the specific cot offers. The bumper can be removed and re-tied at any time, so changing the cot or cleaning around the mattress is not hindered. After removal, it can be folded and stored with other bedding to be ready for future use.
