The SKR MINI E3 V3.0 control board is a modernised generation of boards designed for printers with direct compatibility with popular models including the Ender series and other constructions using the same wiring. The new design stands out with improved cooling, higher reliability, quieter operation, and enhanced safety features. Thanks to the robust cooler, the board is capable of dissipating heat from sensitive components much more effectively, which increases the lifespan and stability of the electronics during long-term printing.
The main control chip of the new generation provides sufficient power for rapid processing of print instructions and more precise motor control. The board allows for smooth movement thanks to the integrated silent stepper motor drivers, resulting in significantly quieter operation of the entire printer. It also includes a sensorless homing function, which allows for more accurate determination of the home position without the use of mechanical switches.
An important advantage is the support for dual Z axis, which enables more stable portal guidance for printers that require this option. The board offers three outputs for fan control, allowing for better selection of cooling modes according to the printer's needs. It also features protective isolation of critical components to prevent overheating or mutual interference.
The expanded connector set includes connections for temperature sensors, stepper motors, control displays, end stops, and options for additional automatic shutdown, filament detection, or print recovery in case of power interruption. Connection to a computer is via a standard communication port, which facilitates uploading the necessary settings and also simple updates to the printing environment. The board allows for print control directly from a memory card.
