Rotating models have a blade turning around a wire shaft and produce steady vibrations even on a slow retrieve. Spoons tilt from side to side and imitate an injured fish, which pays off especially when fishing at greater depths.
Weight determines casting distance and sinking speed, while blade size sets the intensity of the movement. Silver and gold finishes are chosen according to light conditions and water clarity, with coloured patterns or a dressed treble hook as an addition.
Their versatility makes these lures a good choice for pike, perch and trout. By changing retrieve speed and depth, a single lure can be adapted to very different spots, from small streams to large reservoirs.
