The children's cot bumper is a single padded strip that ties to the bars on the inside, surrounding the wall where the child lies or plays. Soft padding inside the strip transforms the cot's wall into a yielding surface that feels more like a pillow than hard bars. The bumper measures 150 cm and can be stretched along one wall or bent around the corner to the adjoining side, depending on the cot's dimensions. Ties are sewn onto the edges of the strip, allowing the bumper to be secured to the cot frame. It can be used wherever the cot has bars or posts around which the ties can be wrapped and tightened securely.

  • Padding – the filling gives the strip volume, allowing the cot wall to yield upon contact. Thus, when the child rolls onto their side or reaches out, they lean against the padded layer rather than the hard bars. The strip is bordered with flat stitching.
  • Tying from the Corner – the bumper is one piece, making it practical to start at the corner post and gradually stretch the strip along the wall, tying each tie as you go. The exact stopping point depends on the specific dimensions of the cot and how much of the strip needs to be covered.
  • Ties – each tie can simply be wrapped around a bar, post, or handle and tied into a bow. With ties at both the top and bottom, the strip stays securely in place along its full height. The bows can be loosened and tightened at any time.
  • Continuous Coverage – the strip covers the gaps between the bars wherever it is tied, creating a seamless wall inside the cot without any views into the room. When tying, it is advisable to pull the strip tight to avoid leaving any loose spaces between it and the bars.
  • Adjusting the Base – if the cot has an adjustable height base, after adjusting it, simply retie the lower ties a bit higher or lower so that the strip continues to follow the wall down to the mattress. The upper ties can remain tied to the handle.
  • Folding After Removal – the flexible strip can be folded accordion-style and stored among other children's items, for instance, when the cot is not in use for a time. The folded bumper takes up little space in storage.
