The WOYO PL001 frequency tester is a wireless remote control detector for checking car keys and RF and IR remotes. You can easily find out the frequency at which the key transmits or verify whether the infrared remote is functioning. The device measures within a range of 10-1000 MHz and covers common frequencies of 315, 434, 868, and 902 MHz. The measured value and IR indication are displayed on a red LED display. The black rubberised body is compact and fits comfortably in your hand.

Before measuring, simply insert a 9V battery and turn on the device with the button. The device is powered by a 9V battery, which is not included, and its consumption is low. Compact dimensions of 10 x 6.5 x 2.31 cm make it easy to carry and work in the workshop. Just place the RF remote or key on the sensing area below the display and press the button on the remote. To test the infrared remote, point it at the opening at the top of the device. If the remote is transmitting, the frequency or IR message will appear on the display.

For accurate measurements, keep the tester away from other electronic devices, such as phones, fans, or lights. It is advisable to switch your mobile phone to airplane mode to avoid interference during measurement. This way, the tester quickly distinguishes a functional remote from a faulty one. With the combination of RF and IR, you will cover most common remotes in the home and car.
