The vacuum positioning pad is used to maintain the animal patient in the chosen position during procedures and examinations. The dimensions 60 x 40 cm are suitable for cats, rabbits, and small breed dogs, where it is sufficient to support the torso and head. The pad is kept soft before use, the operator places the animal on it and shapes the required profile with their hands. The valve in the corner is then connected to suction, and after the air is pumped out, the pad hardens in that shape. After the procedure, the valve is opened, air returns to the pad, and the material softens again.

The pad facilitates work where another person would otherwise have to hold the patient, freeing up hands for the procedure itself. Because it maintains its shape throughout, the position remains the same from start to finish and does not change even when moving the table. The animal lies in a depression that contours to its body, so pressure is distributed over a larger area than with a flat pad. The format 60 x 40 cm is especially appreciated in practices where cats and small dog breeds predominate and where work is done on a smaller table. The smaller size also has the advantage that the pad is easier to store and does not take up space between individual patients. Its use is not limited to the operating room — the pad is also suitable for X-rays, ultrasounds, or wound care, where it is necessary for the animal to remain in one position for a while. After the procedure, simply open the valve and the pad is ready for reshaping.
