Control is done via the Tuya / Smart Life app, and the module operates without an additional central unit, just your home Wi-Fi. The module is designed as a Wi-Fi only solution, so it is controlled exclusively via Wi-Fi and the app (not intended for pairing with RF remote controls). It operates with a voltage of 100–250 VAC (50/60 Hz) and is suitable for motors of blinds or curtains with standard wiring (N, L1, L2, PE). The maximum load is 300 W, which covers standard drives for home blinds and shutters. Connection to the network is via 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and the device does not support the 5GHz band. Voice control works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, which speeds up everyday use.
In the app, you can set schedules for opening or closing, countdowns, and regular triggers based on routines. The device sharing function with family is also practical, as is the ability to create groups for multiple windows in the home. If you leave a manual switch on the wall, it can still serve to open, stop, and close, while the app adds smart features. To protect the motor, it is recommended to keep the manual switch in the STOP position when controlling from the app to avoid reverse switching. Always perform installation with the power turned off and use only for AC motors (not for DC motors).
