The larger design of the traditional tea serving tray expands the workspace for tea preparation in the spirit of the Chinese gongfu cha ritual. The area measuring 40 × 28.5 centimetres can hold a medium-sized teapot, several cups, and small tools such as a tea scoop, pitcher, or timer, allowing easy access to all necessary tools in one movement. The construction consists of a gridded top surface and a deep closed tank underneath, where the dripping water freely drains through an outlet hole in the corner of the surface. The dark brown shade of the wood evokes the seriousness and calm associated with traditional Asian design, to which tea rituals are inextricably linked.

For advanced tea lovers, the larger format of the tray represents an important shift in the comfort of the ritual, as it offers space for several teapots at different stages of preparation or for exchanging tools between tastings of different types of tea. The procedure is the same as with smaller versions – the teapot and cups are warmed with hot water, which is poured directly onto the surface of the tray after a few seconds, the water passes between the slats into the internal reservoir, and the surface remains practically dry. Between rituals, the tray is washed with plain water without cleaning agents to preserve the natural finish of the bamboo and not alter the flavour of the tea being transferred.
