The EL-50449 activation tool is used for relearning and activating tyre pressure sensors in selected Ford vehicles equipped with a tyre pressure monitoring system. It is particularly used after wheel rotation, sensor replacement, or intervention in the central locking control unit. For the system to function correctly, the individual sensors must be relearned to the vehicle's control unit. The device allows this process to be carried out easily without the need for a service visit.

Before starting the learning process, the system records the identification data of each sensor according to its position on the vehicle. Using the EL-50449 tool, the sensors of each wheel can be activated in the correct order. Successful reading is confirmed by an audible signal from the vehicle and a visual indication on the device. The tool is designed for vehicles with sensors operating at frequencies of 315 MHz or 433 MHz.

The use of the device involves putting the vehicle into learning mode according to the instructions from the onboard system. After activating the mode, the device is gradually applied to the wheels in the order of left front, right front, right rear, and left rear. Upon successful completion of the learning process, the vehicle signals the end of the process. The device represents a practical solution for both home and professional use and helps ensure the proper functioning of the tyre pressure monitoring system without complex diagnostics.
