Overview
Built-in Barcode and QR Code Reader R35D with RFID 125 kHz EM, 86 × 86 mm, Wiegand/USB/RS485, Black, for Access Control and Entrance Gates

The built-in barcode reader R35D combines QR code scanning, 1D barcode scanning, and contactless RFID EM cards operating at 125 kHz in one device. It is designed for access control systems where doors or entrance gates are opened using a QR code from a mobile phone, a code printed on paper, or an access card. The reader is installed flush into a standard 86 installation box, leaving only the black frame with a hardened glass scanning window visible on the wall. With Wiegand, RS232, RS485, TTL, and USB-C interfaces, it can be connected to common access control unit controllers, Wiegand drivers, and computers. The scanned data is transmitted to the host system, which then decides whether to grant or deny access.

  • Combined reader: QR codes, 1D barcodes, and RFID EM cards 125 kHz
  • Image decoding with automatic induction: simply present the code in front of the window, successful reading is confirmed by a buzzer
  • Reads codes from mobile phone displays, from paper, and from plastic, including coloured and slightly damaged codes
  • Reading speed under 200 ms
  • Reading distance: QR code 0–20 cm, EM card 3–6 cm
  • Scanning angle 45° with a centrally positioned camera
  • Interface: Wiegand 26/34, RS232, RS485, TTL, and USB-C
  • USB-C supports virtual keyboard and virtual serial port mode
  • Power supply DC 12 V, operating current 800 mA
  • Power and data connections via screw terminal on the back
  • Protection against incorrect wiring
  • Compatibility with Windows XP, 7, 8, 10, and Linux operating systems
  • Status indicators: red – operation, green – reading confirmation, light green – network
  • Material: PC and hardened glass scanning window
  • Dimensions 86 × 86 × 42 mm, weight 150 g
  • Flush mounting in 86 installation box
  • Colour: black front frame
  • Operating temperature −20 °C to 70 °C, operating humidity 10–90 %
  • RESET hole on the back for factory reset
  • Package contents: R35D reader, USB cable, user manual

The R35D reader is suitable for office buildings, visitor management in residential and community facilities, administrative halls, entrance gates, self-service kiosks, or smart homes. It is also applicable in upgrading older access control systems, as it can handle QR codes displayed on mobile devices in addition to EM 125 kHz cards. A wide range of communication interfaces facilitates connection with already used control units and software. Compact dimensions and flush mounting allow for discreet installation next to doors and at entrance gates. Only a 12 V power supply and connection to a control unit or computer are required for operation.
