The larger version of the vacuum adjustable pad measures 100 x 60 cm and is designed for medium and large breeds, where it is necessary to support the entire body. The filling inside moves freely in a soft state, allowing the pad to be shaped around the patient into a custom depression. By using the suction valve, air is removed from it, and at that moment the entire surface hardens and stops moving. This way, the animal remains in the same position throughout the procedure without needing to be held by anyone. By opening the valve, the pad returns to a soft state and is ready for another patient.

Features:

  • Area 100 x 60 cm — ample space for medium and larger dog breeds, the pad supports the torso, limbs, and head simultaneously, and no additional support is needed.
  • Vacuum Fixation — after air is evacuated, the pad maintains the set shape and does not shift even when the table is tilted or when moving the patient to another workstation.
  • Corner Valve — the connection for the suction device is located outside the lying area, so it does not obstruct under the animal's body.
  • Loose Filling — in a soft state, it conforms to the shape of the body and distributes pressure over a larger area than a flat table surface would offer.
  • Re-shaping — one pad can be used for various types of procedures; simply reshape it after letting in air and re-suction it.
  • Wipeable Surface — the outer layer is smooth and seam-free in the centre of the lying area, making it easy to clean between individual patients.

For larger patients, maintaining position can be more challenging than with cats and small dogs, and this is where the area of 100 x 60 cm proves most beneficial. The pad takes on the role of an assistant, which would otherwise have to hold the animal throughout the procedure, allowing the staff to focus on the actual performance. The firm shape also prevents the patient from sliding or rotating during the procedure, which is particularly noticeable in longer operations. The pressure distribution over the shaped surface is gentler than lying on a flat table, which is an advantage for patients who will spend extended time on the table. The transition between soft and firm states is managed by the suction itself, with no additional parts required. Besides surgery, the pad is useful in imaging examinations, dressings, and treating injuries where stable positioning of the animal is necessary. After the work is finished, the valve is opened, the pad softens, and it can be flattened and stored away.
