The wooden ring mandrel and hammer with rubber and plastic heads set includes two tools that complement each other when adjusting rings. The conical mandrel made of natural wood is 27.8 cm long and serves as a sturdy support onto which the ring is placed. The hammer is 24.5 cm long and has two striking surfaces for screwing, a softer rubber side and a harder plastic side. Together they allow the ring to be returned to a regular circular shape, to straighten minor bends, and to prepare the jewellery for polishing. This set is suitable for home jewellery making as well as for minor ring repairs.
The mandrel tapers smoothly to a point, with the thickest part having a diameter of 2.8 cm, allowing it to accommodate rings of various sizes. The ring slides on as far as it freely fits, and with light taps using the rubber side of the hammer, it is gradually straightened. The mandrel also holds the ring during polishing and grinding, where stable support is required. The plastic side of the hammer is suitable for tasks that require greater force.
The hammer features a red and black handle with a shaped grip. Both striking surfaces screw into the hammer body, allowing them to be removed and replaced. Beyond jewellery making, the hammer is also useful for furniture assembly, flooring installation, or minor repairs around the home.

When straightening a ring, work with lighter taps and continuously check how the shape of the band is changing. If the ring sticks when being placed on the mandrel, do not force it and leave it a little higher. Keep the mandrel dry and away from direct heat sources, and wipe the hammer with a dry cloth after use. Both tools fit into a standard workbench drawer.

How do I return goods?

If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).
