Wall Detector FNIRSI WD-01 3-in-1 138 x 68 x 22 mm with Backlit LCD Display Made of ABS Plastic Yellow and Black for Metals, Wood and Live Wires

The FNIRSI WD-01 wall detector will inform you of what lies beneath the plaster, in the plasterboard, or under the floor before drilling, mounting, or renovating. The device offers three detection modes, allowing it to recognise metallic objects, wooden elements, and cables carrying electric current. It can detect ferrous metals, such as steel reinforcements and pipes, up to a depth of 100 mm, and non-ferrous metals like copper up to 80 mm. The backlit display shows the approximate depth of the detected object, the signal strength, and whether you are directly above its centre. Power is provided by a built-in lithium battery 300 mAh, which can be easily recharged via a USB-C connector.

Anyone can operate it. You select the desired mode with a button, hold the detector against the wall, and slowly move it sideways. As you approach the target object, the indicator around the central hole lights up yellow or red, and if there is nothing beneath the device, it lights up green. At the same time, a beeping sound will occur, which turns into a continuous tone when you are above the centre of the target. You can then mark the spot on the wall directly with a pencil through the central hole, so you know exactly where it is safe to drill and where to avoid. For locating wooden beams and battens, there is an exact mode called EXACT with a depth of 20 mm and a deep mode DEEP up to 38 mm.
