The square lens hood is designed for lenses with a filter thread diameter of 52 mm and gives the camera a classic compact camera look. The square shape reduces side light that strikes the front lens while shooting, causing glare, veiling, and lower contrast in the image. The body of the hood is made from aluminium alloy, making it sturdy and durable. The hood screws directly onto the thread on the front of the lens, without any additional parts. This information is usually marked on the front of the lens or on the inner side of the original cap with the symbol Ø, for example Ø52. The hood, with a height of approximately 2 cm, remains compact, allowing you to easily store the camera in a bag. You can leave the cap on the hood while transporting it.
