The AG1356 strings form a stronger set for acoustic guitars with metal strings. The package includes 6 metal strings in gold colour, which will replace all strings of a standard six-string instrument. The thickness range of 013–056 places this set among the stronger variants, which have higher tension than thinner sets at the same tuning. Each string is equipped with a ball end, making it easy to secure in the bridge. All strings are stored together in a transparent bag.
Stronger strings require slightly more finger pressure while playing, so they are appreciated more by players who are accustomed to metal strings. The set is suitable for chord accompaniment, playing with a pick, and fingerstyle. At the end of each string is a ball, which is inserted into the hole in the bridge and secured with a pin. The opposite end of the string is threaded through the tuning peg, wound onto the pin, and the string is tuned. The set is intended for acoustic guitars with metal strings and is not suitable for classical guitars with nylon strings.
Acoustic guitar strings gradually wear out, lose their shine, have difficulty holding tuning, and the sound loses clarity. Regularly replacing the entire set is therefore part of the standard maintenance of the instrument. The AG1356 set serves as new equipment for the guitar as well as a backup set in the case, which you can have on hand in case a string breaks. When transitioning from thinner strings to stronger ones, it is advisable to consider that the higher tension may require adjustments to the neck setup or string height. Change the strings one by one to keep the guitar neck under tension and to avoid mixing up the bridge pins. After inserting the ball into the bridge, check that it has seated against the underside of the bridge, and only then tension the string. New strings stretch during the first few days, so tune the guitar more frequently during this period. After each playing session, wipe the strings with a dry cloth and store the spare set in a bag in a dry place.
The AG1356 set is intended for guitarists who prefer playing with stronger strings on acoustic guitars. The package contains a complete set of six strings in the thickness range of 013–056, allowing you to replace all strings at once. How do I return goods?
