The replacement bra fastening for sewing is a practical haberdashery item for everyone who repairs or sews their own lingerie. The set consists of two separate parts – a strap with 2 hooks and a counterpart with three rows of eyes, into which the hooks fasten. Both parts have the same width of 3.2 cm, ensuring they align perfectly and correspond to standard bra fastenings with two hooks side by side. By replacing a torn, bent, or stretched fastening, you can continue to wear your favourite bra without needing to buy a new one. The three rows of eyes also allow for adjustment of the band to be looser or tighter as needed after sewing.
The part with hooks has a length of 2.8 cm and the part with eyes has a length of 5 cm. The distance between the centres of the hooks is 1.3 cm, and the same distance applies to the eyes in each row. The base fabric is made of polyester, and the hooks and eyes are metal. The fastening is supplied without an attached bra, so both parts need to be sewn onto the garment first – the part with hooks to one end of the back strap and the part with eyes to the other end. In addition to bras, it is also suitable for corsets, bodysuits, swimsuits, or shapewear, where a hook and eye fastening of the same width is used.

Before sewing, carefully unpick the original fastening and place the new part in the same position to maintain the bra's circumference. You can sew by hand with a needle and thread or on a sewing machine, ideally using thread in the shade of the fabric. Simply fold the edge of the strap and sew along the entire width of the part. Wash the lingerie with the new fastening gently, preferably fastened and in a laundry bag, to prevent the hooks from catching on other pieces of clothing.
This hook and eye fastening set is a simple solution for repairing a bra that you can manage at home with a needle and thread. The part with two hooks and the counterpart with 3 rows of eyes have the same width and can be sewn in place of the original fastening. The base fabric made of polyester carries metal hooks and eyes. It is a useful addition to your sewing box as a backup part for when the fastening on your favourite lingerie gets damaged. How do I return goods?

If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).
