The HANMATEK SF3 handheld detector reveals what lies beneath plaster or drywall before you make the first hole in the wall. It can locate wooden beams and joists, metal pipes and fittings, as well as live electrical wires. It detects wood in precise mode up to 20 mm and in deep mode up to 38 mm. It also detects ferrous metals, copper wires, and live cables at the same depth. Ideal for DIY enthusiasts wanting to safely hang shelves or televisions, as well as for tradespeople during installations and renovations. It is powered by three AAA batteries, allowing you to use it anywhere without a cord.
The clear LCD display shows a bar graph signal strength indicator, the depth of the detected object, edge and centre markings, the selected mode, and battery status. Above the display, three indicator lights in red, yellow, and green illuminate, which, along with the sound alert, indicate how close you are to your target. Detection of live wires at 110 V and 230 V works in all modes, so the detector will alert you to a live cable even when you are searching for wood or metal. A practical feature is the built-in LED torch, which lights up the wall when working in poorly lit corners or basements.

Using the detector is straightforward. After turning it on, place the device flat against the wall, select the mode according to what you are searching for, and slowly move it across the surface without pressing down or lifting it. When searching for wood, start in precise mode and only switch to deep mode by pressing and holding the button if the beam is not found. Once the bar graph indicator is full and a ticking sound is heard, you are above the centre of the object, and you can mark the spot with a pencil. A short press of the button with the light bulb symbol will turn on the torch, and a long press will turn the sound on or off. After use, store the detector in the included case and remove the batteries if it will not be used for an extended period.

How do I return goods?

If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).
