Overview
Furoshiki Japanese Gift Wrapping Cloth 70 x 70 cm Polyester Red with White Dots Fabric Cover for Bento Box and Boxes

The traditional Japanese furoshiki cloth is a square fabric designed for wrapping gifts, transporting food boxes, and storing small items while travelling. The cloth measures approximately 70 x 70 cm, making it easy to wrap a medium-sized gift box, bento box, or snack container. The fabric is primarily made from polyester and its edges are carefully stitched all around. Instead of wrapping paper that ends up in the bin after unwrapping, you receive a fabric cover for many other uses. It is suitable for gifts for Christmas, birthdays, or weddings, as well as for carrying lunch to work and school.

The vibrant red fabric is adorned with a print of white oval dots, interspersed with small orange and gold ornaments. The cheerful polka dot pattern adds a Japanese touch to the gift, and the wrapped box looks striking even without additional decoration. Wrapping is quick and requires no tape or scissors. Simply place the item in the centre of the cloth, fold two opposite corners over it, and tie the remaining two ends together at the top in a knot. The knot can be untied at any time, and the cloth can be reused.

  • Type – Japanese furoshiki cloth for gift wrapping and transport
  • Size – approximately 70 x 70 cm
  • Shape – square
  • Material – fabric predominantly made of polyester
  • Processing – woven fabric with print and stitched edges
  • Pattern – red background with white oval dots and small orange and gold ornaments
  • Usage – gift wrapping, carrying a bento box, napkin or placemat for picnics
  • Contents – 1 furoshiki cloth (box, tassel, paper tape, wooden ring, and figure from the photographs are not included)

The furoshiki cloth can also be used beyond gift wrapping. Spread out on the table, it serves as a napkin or placemat for snacks, sushi, or sweet pastries with tea. For a picnic, you can wrap a food container in it, and after lunch, unfold it on the blanket as a small napkin. In the boot or bag, it keeps small items together that would otherwise roll around. Folded into a small square, it fits in any drawer and takes up almost no space.

The polka dot furoshiki cloth is a practical and reusable wrap for anyone who wants to give gifts in an original way and without unnecessary waste. Because it has a square cut, it can wrap boxes of various sizes, bottles, and irregularly shaped items. The fabric with stitched edges is designed for repeated use. The cloth will delight lovers of Japanese culture, parents preparing snacks for a bento box, and anyone who appreciates beautifully wrapped gifts. One cloth can manage wrapping, transporting, and serving.
