The embossing roller for dough in a medium-sized design is a versatile tool for festive baking and cake decorating. First, roll out the dough or paste with a regular rolling pin to an even thickness, preferably around three to five millimetres. Then, glide the embossing roller over it in one continuous stroke with even pressure to ensure the pattern is equally deep everywhere. If the dough sticks, dust it with flour, and for fondant, use a little cornflour. You can then cut the patterned sheet into any shapes using cookie cutters. After use, wash the roller with warm soapy water, clean the grooves with a soft brush, and allow it to air dry.
