Overview
Brumle Drumbla 12.6 x 4 cm Large Size Stainless Steel with Chrome Finish Traditional Mouth Harp Musical Instrument for Ethno and Folk

The large brumle is a traditional metal mouth harp, also known in Czech as drumbla. It has a longer frame measuring 12.6 x 4 x 0.3 cm. The frame is made of stainless steel with a chrome finish in a silver colour. In the centre, there is a dark flexible tongue whose end is bent into a hook for comfortable plucking with a finger. When played, the arms of the frame rest against the teeth, the tongue vibrates, and the oral cavity amplifies and alters its sound. The longer frame is particularly pleasant for players who want to have the instrument securely in their fingers.

The longer arms of the large variant are comfortably held even in a larger hand and provide the tongue with enough space to oscillate. The tongue is attached to the head of the frame with two screws, ensuring it stays firmly in place. The brumle is suitable for players who want an instrument with a longer tongue, for accompanying folk songs, for drumming and rhythmic groups, for sound experiments, and for playing around a fire or on trips into nature with friends. By moving the tongue, changing the shape of the mouth, and working with breath, rhythmic patterns and simple melodies can be created.

Keep the instrument dry and clean. After playing, simply wipe it with a soft cloth and store it so that the tongue is not bent or pressed by other objects. When playing, pluck the hook of the tongue gently and ensure that the tongue does not touch the teeth. Hold the frame firmly but without unnecessary pressure, allowing the tongue to vibrate freely. For beginners, it is advisable to play slowly and steadily, starting with just one repeated note, and only then experimenting with mouth shape, rhythm, and breath control. With each practice, the playing becomes more confident and the sound richer.

The large brumle made of stainless steel is suitable for anyone who wants to try playing a traditional mouth harp with a longer frame. The length of 12.6 cm ensures a secure grip and comfortable handling while playing. The frame thickness of 0.3 cm is sturdy, yet the instrument still fits into a pocket or small case. The simple chrome appearance with a dark tongue is suitable for a musician's collection as well as an accessory for travel. The brumle will be appreciated by beginners, folk musicians, and enthusiasts of ethnic music.
