Overview
Brumla Drumbla 15 x 5 cm Metal Mouth Harp with Decorative Circular Head Wooden Case and Bag Silver Folk Musical Instrument

Brumla, also known as drumbla, vargan or mouth harp, is one of the oldest folk musical instruments and continues to attract players around the world. This model features a metal frame with a decorative cut-out circular head, which has circles and a triangular motif carved into it. The total length of the instrument is 15 cm and the diameter of the circular head is 5 cm, making the brumla comfortably fit in the hand and pocket. The instrument comes with a wooden protective case with a cord and bead, into which the brumla is inserted and thus protected during transport. The set is completed with a black fabric bag with a drawstring.

The tongue is attached to the frame by two screws, and its end is bent into a small hook, which is plucked with a finger while playing. The length of the tongue from the screw joint to the end of the frame is 12.5 cm, with the hook protruding about 2 cm to the side. Both the frame and the tongue have a silver metallic finish, and the wooden case is made of layered wood in a natural shade with dark edges. The case follows the shape of the brumla, ensuring that the instrument does not get scratched by other items in a pocket or backpack.

While playing, the frame of the brumla is gently rested against slightly parted lips so that the tongue can freely vibrate between the teeth, which do not touch the instrument. The tongue vibrates when plucked with a finger against the hook, and the pitch and timbre of the tone are altered by the shape of the mouth cavity, the position of the tongue, and breath. After playing, simply wipe the instrument with a dry cloth and store it back in the wooden case, or even with the case in the bag. Do not bend the brumla or forcefully manipulate the tongue to maintain its position in the frame.

The metal brumla with a decorative circular head is an interesting choice for beginner players who want to experience the sound of a traditional folk instrument, as well as for collectors of musical instruments from various corners of the world. With a length of 15 cm and a wooden case, it can be taken on trips, to a fire, or to band rehearsals. The bag with a drawstring protects the entire set from dust when stored at home. The instrument also makes a great gift for lovers of folk, ethnic music, and throat singing. The decorative motif on the head of the frame makes it a striking addition to any collection.
