The hook and eye tape is a practical haberdashery item for anyone who sews or repairs their own lingerie. The set includes a tape with three rows of metal eyes and a corresponding tape with one row of hooks, both measuring 50 cm in length. The eye tape has a width of 5 cm and, thanks to the three rows of eyes, allows for fastening adjustments for three different circumferences. It is suitable for creating a new bra fastening, repairing a damaged fastening, and sewing onto corsets and shapewear. You can also cut the tape to make your own fastening extensions as needed.
The hooks and eyes are spaced at a regular interval of 1.9 cm, ensuring that both tapes fit together along their entire length. The hook tape is 2.8 cm wide, and the hooks are secured by stitching. The reverse side of the eye tape is soft and brushed, making it comfortable against the skin when worn. The material of both tapes is polyester, which sews well by machine and by hand.

Cut the tape to the required length and always secure the cut ends by stitching or overlocking, as the ends are not finished and could unravel without securing. Sew the eye tape onto one side of the garment and the hook tape onto the opposite side so that the hooks align with the rows of eyes. Sew with a straight or zigzag stitch close to the edge, avoiding the hooks and eyes. Wash the finished garment gently at a low temperature, ideally in a laundry bag, to prevent the hooks from catching on other items of clothing.
The length of 50 cm is sufficient for several new fastenings or extensions, and any unused remainder can be saved for future repairs. Thanks to the 3 rows of eyes, the finished fastening can be loosened or tightened as needed. The regular spacing of 1.9 cm corresponds to standard bra and shapewear fastenings. The tape is suitable for seamstresses, for home sewing, and for quick repairs of favourite lingerie pieces. It is always worthwhile to have it on hand when a fastening is damaged or when adjustments to the circumference are needed.

How do I return goods?

If the goods need to be sent back, we will refund the postage for a valid claim (just provide the receipt).

Write to us within 30 days of receipt at info@lunzo.ie with your order number and the variant you are interested in. We usually reply within 24 hours.
If the variant is available, we will send you instructions for the exchange. You pay the cost of sending the original item back; the new variant will be sent to you at no further charge.
