The APEXEL APL-F002 mobile adapter connects your smartphone to an optical device, allowing you to photograph and record directly through the eyepiece. The holder fits eyepieces with a diameter of 23 to 50 mm, making it suitable for binocular telescopes, monoculars, spotting scopes, telescopes, and microscopes. The sliding rail accommodates phones that are 66 to 95 mm wide, making it compatible with common models from various brands. The phone remains securely positioned directly behind the eyepiece, enabling you to capture the image you see in the device with your mobile camera. Birds at the feeder, wildlife at the forest edge, distant landscapes, the Moon in the night sky, or details of a specimen under the microscope can easily end up in your gallery.

The entire holder comprises a one-piece construction without screws, so you don’t have to tighten anything or assemble it from multiple parts. You can attach it in three steps: place the phone into the flexible clamp, adjust the rail to align the opening with the main camera lens, and finally, press the handle to snap the eyepiece into the adapter's jaws. The jaws, equipped with a spring, adapt to the eyepiece diameter, and there are EVA foam pads at the contact points. The stepped soft silicone elements on the sides protect the phone and its buttons. The compact shape is comfortable to hold in one hand, and after observing, you can easily store it in your pocket or backpack.

For the best results, first align the phone's lens precisely with the centre of the eyepiece, and only then adjust the crop of the image using the zoom on the mobile camera. If your device has a soft rubber eyecup, fold it back or remove it before attaching the adapter to ensure the jaws grip directly onto the solid body of the eyepiece. Simply wipe the adapter clean with a dry cloth after use and store it out of direct sunlight.
