The rubber lens hood with a 52 mm thread protects images from unwanted side light and glare that reduce the contrast of photographs. It is made from flexible rubber, allowing it to be easily compressed, bent, and folded without any tools. It screws directly onto the filter thread on the front of the lens, ensuring a secure fit without the need for a bayonet mount. It is suitable for digital SLRs and lenses from Canon and Nikon, as well as other cameras with a lens that has a 52 mm thread diameter. The hood is three-stage and can be adjusted to three positions: fully extended, half-folded, or completely folded. You can adjust the length according to the lens used and the shot, ensuring that the edge of the hood does not interfere with the image. In its completely folded state, the hood can remain on the lens and takes up minimal space in the bag, so you do not need to remove it during transport. Before purchasing, check the thread diameter on the front of the lens, which is usually indicated by the symbol ⌀ on the lens barrel or on the inside of the lens cap. Screw the hood on carefully and without excessive force to avoid damaging the thread.
