The waste space for ants measuring 60 x 35 x 35 mm is an additional module into which colonies carry food scraps and other debris. This keeps the nest and feeding arena cleaner and more organised. The grey container features a transparent lid on top, allowing you to check the contents without opening it. On the side, there is a connection part with a hole through which the ants enter the waste space. The module is suitable for assemblies of modular formicaria for commonly kept species of ants.
The connection part has two handles with holes, and the module is attached to the frame of the arena or nest using 2 screws included in the package. The lid has a brass fitting which is easily visible from above. The manufacturer recommends placing a small amount of waste that the colony has produced into the waste space at the beginning. This helps the ants learn to carry debris there more quickly. You can position the waste space on any side of the assembly where there is a free entrance. A separate place for waste also limits the spread of debris into the area where the colony lives, making regular cleaning of the entire assembly easier. The module is small and lightweight, so it does not burden the assembly.

Screw the module onto the free entrance of the arena or nest and ensure it is securely attached. Monitor the contents of the waste space through the transparent lid and empty it as needed to prevent scraps from accumulating in the assembly. When cleaning, detach the module, empty it, and wipe it with a soft cloth. Before reconnecting, allow the container to dry thoroughly. Place the assembly out of direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent the contents of the waste space from heating up unnecessarily.
The waste space is a simple addition that helps keep your modular formicarium clean and organised. How do I return goods?
