The TANGZU Sancai Noble Silicone Tips in the Wide Bore Brass Edition are replacement ear tips for in-ear monitor (IEM) headphones. The package contains one pair of size M tips, with an outer diameter of 11.9 mm. The body of the tip is made from soft liquid silicone with a finely textured surface that initially resembles frosted glass. Inside, there is a brass spiral nozzle through which sound travels from the headphone driver to the ear. Size M is suitable for medium-sized ear canals and provides a good seal when properly fitted.
The tips feature a wide opening, which according to the manufacturer helps maintain the openness of the highs while keeping the bass under control. The brass nozzle with a threaded profile is said to be sturdy and non-resonant, resulting in a stable and clear sound character. The individual sizes of the Sancai Noble series are distinguished by the colour of the inner core, and size M can be identified by its green core, making it easy to find among other accessories. To fit the tip, push it onto the output connector of the headphones with the stem and gently twist it to ensure a good fit. When replacing, gently pull it off without tugging on the edge of the tip. Silicone tips should occasionally be wiped with a damp cloth or rinsed in lukewarm water and allowed to dry completely before re-fitting. Earwax must not enter the tips as it could narrow the nozzle opening and affect the sound. Store the tips in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight to maintain the silicone's elasticity.
