The Q-Air nest module for ants is a unit part of a modular formicarium measuring 60 x 60 x 37 mm. In the centre of the nest is a rounded partition in the shape of a Q, surrounding a circular chamber with a fine mesh at the bottom. According to the manufacturer, the module has lower humidity (level 1 from the manufacturer's rating), making it suitable for species that prefer a drier environment. The bottom of the nest features a light textured surface, and there are red transparent windows on the sides. The module can be connected with other nests, arenas, and accessories from the same range.

There are 4 entry holes with a diameter of 10 mm around the perimeter, through which the module can be connected to adjacent parts of the assembly. On the top side of the frame, there is a red hole for adding water, and the manufacturer recommends adding approximately 18 ml of water to the module. The nest is covered by a red transparent lid that dims the light while allowing observation of the colony. The frame is grey, and the parts are joined with screws included in the package during assembly. Thanks to the unit size of 1 x 1, the module can easily be added to an existing assembly.

Place the module on a flat and stable surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Refill water through the hole at the top of the frame in the recommended amount and monitor how moisture is retained in the nest. Keep unused entry holes closed to ensure the ants remain inside the assembly. Always replace the cover after checking to maintain dim lighting in the nest. Wipe the surface of the frame as needed with a soft dry cloth. As the colony grows, connect additional nests or an arena to the module and gradually expand the space. Adjust the humidity in the nest to suit the needs of the species being kept.

The Q-Air nest module is suitable for keepers who wish to expand their modular formicarium with a drier nesting area. Its compact size and four entrances allow the module to be integrated anywhere in the assembly.
