Modelling clay and polymer clay

You can do without a kiln or oven with air-dry modelling clay, which hardens in the air and suits small sculptures, jewellery, ornaments and decorative bowls. For small creations there's polymer clay in a set with 14 tools and jewellery findings, such as earring hooks or a ring base. According to the manufacturer, it doesn't stick to your hands and holds its shape even in taller figures; it's usually baked in the oven following the instructions. Items made from either clay aren't suitable for contact with food.

Reshapeable again and again, polymorph plastic comes as thermoplastic granules. Heated in water, it softens and turns clear, then you can colour it, shape it with your fingers or press it into a silicone mould, and it hardens as it cools. It comes in a zip bag in several sizes.

For working with clay there are modelling tool sets with 3 to 62 pieces. They're joined by acrylic rollers with blades, letter and number stamps, pottery sponges, mini turntables and an electric mini pottery wheel with speed control.
