The mobile phone adapter allows you to take photos and videos directly through the eyepiece of an optical device. It is suitable for both binocular and monocular telescopes, spotting scopes, astronomical telescopes, and microscopes. The hexagonal frame with a clamping screw securely grips eyepieces with a diameter of 28 to 48 mm. You can insert a phone with a width of 55 to 82 mm into the adjustable jaws of the holder, making it compatible with most common smartphones. The phone's camera remains aligned with the eyepiece, so you do not need to hold it in your hand while observing.

You can fine-tune the position of the phone relative to the eyepiece using the sliding plate with a groove and locking screw. This allows you to easily centre the camera lens directly above the eyepiece, and you will see the entire image on the display without dark edges. The phone holder can rotate, so you can set the phone in portrait or landscape mode depending on what you are photographing or filming. On the side of the holder is a brass 1/4 inch thread, which allows you to attach the adapter to a tripod or other standard photographic accessories. A tripod is especially useful for longer observations and when photographing with high magnification.

First, attach the adapter to the eyepiece and tighten the clamping screw just enough to hold the frame securely without putting unnecessary pressure on the surface of the eyepiece. Then insert the phone into the jaws, activate the camera, and adjust the sliding plate to align the phone's lens with the centre of the eyepiece. Once the image on the display is sharp and centred, tighten the locking screw. The rounded edges of the jaws are gentle on both the phone and its case. After use, simply wipe the adapter with a dry cloth and store it with the telescope or microscope.
