Overview
LED Car Bulbs 9005 HB3 12 V Pack of 2 Star Screw and Silver Rods Cooler with Purple Cylinder White Yellow 4300 K Instead of Halogen HB3

These two LED bulbs with 9005 (HB3) base are designed for headlights that use halogen bulbs 9005. The bulbs emit white-yellow light at 4300 K, warmer than cool white. The 12 V power supply is provided by the vehicle's onboard network. A beam with a chip protrudes from the black square holder, surrounded by two shiny rods. The cooler beneath the blue ring combines black fins with a purple bottom cylinder.

  • 9005 and HB3 — both designations refer to the same base, so you can search by either when selecting. You will usually find at least one of them on the old bulb.
  • Typical Location — 9005 bulbs are typically installed in high beam lights, although exceptions exist. Therefore, refer to the marking on the old bulb.
  • Warmer White — the value of 4300 K shifts the light colour towards warmer tones. Compared to halogen, the light is whiter, and compared to cool white LED bulbs, it is warmer.
  • 12 V Connection — the bulbs are designed for a voltage of 12 V in passenger cars. Higher voltages, such as those in some commercial vehicles, are not suitable for them.
  • Black Part with Screw — a screw with a star-shaped head is screwed into the square black part. This part holds the beam, chip, and both rods.
  • Shiny Rods — the chip is embedded between a pair of cylindrical rods with a silver shine. The rods are longer than the chip and extend up to the top edge of the bulb.
  • Cooling with Purple Cylinder — beneath the ring is a cooler with dense black fins, followed by a purple cylinder. The cylinder forms the bottom end of the entire bulb.
  • Space in the Engine Compartment — there must be enough space behind the headlight for the cooler with the purple cylinder and the cover. Measure it before ordering.
  • Set for Left and Right Headlight — two identical bulbs ensure that the lights on both sides of the vehicle will have the same 4300 K colour.
  • 9005 Installation — turn off the lights, allow the halogen to cool down, and only then remove it. Insert the new bulb in place of the original, holding it by the cooler.
  • Test After Replacement — turn on the lights with the new bulbs and check that both shine equally. If the light height changes, it is advisable to have the headlights adjusted.
  • Legal Use — if you are unsure whether installing LED bulbs in your halogen headlights complies with regulations, consult a service centre.

Contents of the package:

  • 2x LED bulb with HB3 (9005) base 4300 K

Each of the 2 pcs in the package has a 9005 (HB3) base and operates at 12 V. The shade of 4300 K differs from cool white with a warmer, yellowish tone. Both bulbs have the same black part with a screw, shiny rods, and a purple bottom of the cooler. Whether the set fits your car is indicated by the 9005 or HB3 marking on the old bulb. The set can be used wherever a car requires 9005 (HB3) bulbs.
