Two LED bulbs with base 9012 (HIR2) in this set replace halogen bulbs HIR2 in headlights. The light shade is cool white 6000 K. Both bulbs operate at 12 V. Above the black square part with a screw is a beam on which the chip sits between a pair of silver rods. The cooler with black ribs transitions into a purple cylinder, separated from the upper part by a blue ring.
- Base 9012 — in some cars, HIR2 serves as low beam lights, while in others as high beam. The crucial detail is the specification for your particular model. The designation can be found on the old bulb, typically indicated as 9012 or HIR2.
- Cool White — the value of 6000 K signifies white light without the yellow component typical of halogen. The light therefore matches well with white LED lights found in many newer cars.
- Powered by the Onboard Network — the bulbs require 12 V and are intended for passenger cars with this onboard network. Do not install them on systems other than twelve-volt circuits.
- Black Square Part — the part from which the beam extends holds one screw with a star head, and there are two elongated holes visible on its sides.
- Silver Rods Around the Chip — the pair of cylindrical rods frames the chip on both sides. The rods have a smooth shiny surface and are taller than the black part beneath them.
- Ribs and Purple Cylinder — the black ribs of the cooler connect to the purple cylinder, which forms the lower end of the bulb. Between the dense ribs, narrow slots remain.
- Space Under the Bonnet — before ordering the bulbs, look behind the headlight and estimate whether the cooler fits there with the cover. In cars with a cramped engine compartment, this requires careful inspection.
- Both Sides White — thanks to the two pieces in the set, both headlights will shine the same cool white. A single replaced bulb would appear conspicuously next to a halogen on the other side.
- How to Install — before replacement, allow the halogen HIR2 to cool down, then seat the LED bulb in the same manner as the original. Protect the chip and rods from fingerprints during this process.
- Adjustment Check — compare the lit lights on the garage wall and check that both the left and right sides shine to the same height. Any differences can be resolved with an adjustment at a service centre.
