Overview
Large Set of Sun Paper 40 Sheets A5 14.8 x 21 cm with Cover Sheet 1 mm Cyanotype Blue Light-Sensitive Paper for Crafting with Children

The large set of sun paper includes 40 sheets for the cyanotype technique and a transparent cover sheet. With a larger number of sheets, it is sufficient for the whole class, club, camp, or long crafting sessions with family. Simply lay out leaves, flowers, grass, or other flat objects on the paper, cover them with the sheet, and let the sun work its magic. After a short rinse in water, a white outline of the objects will appear on the blue background. Each sheet is in A5 format, which is 14.8 x 21 cm, and the finished image easily fits into a standard frame.

The transparent sheet measures 14 x 21 cm and is 1 mm thick. It comes with a protective film that must be removed before first use. The sheet holds the plants in place on the paper during exposure and prevents them from shifting. Leave the paper in the sun for 5 to 15 minutes until it changes colour. Instead of sunlight, a UV lamp can be used, allowing you to create indoors as well.

  • Packaging – large set for cyanotype
  • Number of sheets – 40
  • Format – A5, 14.8 x 21 cm
  • Cover sheet – transparent, 14 x 21 cm, 1 mm
  • Paper – natural fibre, light-sensitive layer
  • Resulting colour – blue background and white imprint
  • Exposure time – 5 to 15 minutes in sunlight
  • Alternative exposure – UV lamp
  • Development – rinse in water for 30 to 60 seconds until the water runs clear
  • Contents of the package – 40 sheets of A5 sun paper and 1 transparent cover sheet

After exposure, immerse the sheet in water or rinse it under running water until the water runs clear. Then let it dry in the shade and flatten it out. For sharper outlines, it is advisable to use pressed and dried plants that lie flat on the paper. It is worth experimenting with different exposure times ranging from 5 to 15 minutes and comparing which result you like best. The large pack offers enough sheets for such experiments, and you can easily compare the finished images. Store unused sheets in a sealed container and protect them from light. The paper works best when used within six months of purchase.

The set with 40 sheets of cyanotype paper is practical where multiple people are crafting at once or where you want to try out many different designs. It is suitable for schools, kindergartens, libraries, art workshops, and home crafting with children. The finished imprints can be turned into wall art, greetings cards, bookmarks, or pages for your own herbarium. The blue and white images look great in a simple frame or as a series of multiple images side by side. The transparent cover sheet 14 x 21 cm can be reused for all sheets in the package.
