The starter kit for hydroponics contains everything you need to start growing plants without soil. The package includes 50 net pots made of black plastic and 50 rockwool cubes, which serve as a growing substrate for seed germination and further seedling growth. Each cube has a hole at the top into which you simply insert the seed. The kit is suitable for home hydroponic systems, growing towers, tube systems, and water cultures on windowsills. It can be used for growing lettuce, herbs, vegetables, and houseplants.

The net pots are made from durable ABS plastic and are designed for repeated use. The top edge has a diameter of 50 mm and an internal hole of 38 mm, ensuring that the pot fits securely in the opening of the growing board or tube and does not fall through. The walls and bottom are perforated in a grid pattern, allowing roots to freely grow into the nutrient solution while providing sufficient access to air. The edges of the pots are rounded for easy handling, and the smooth bottom is easy to clean.

The rockwool cubes measure 2.5 x 2.5 x 4 cm and are characterised by high porosity and low bulk density. They absorb water and nutrients well, while still retaining enough air for healthy root development. The cubes can be separated or trimmed with scissors as needed, allowing you to adapt them to the size of the seedling and the opening in the growing system.

Before sowing, soak the cubes in water for about 2 minutes, remove them, and let them drain for approximately 15 minutes. Then, place the seeds into the prepared holes and position the cubes in a tray or growing container. Once the seeds germinate and the seedlings take root, place the cube with the plant into the net pot and set it in the hydroponic system. When separating cubes, we recommend using gloves, a mask, and scissors, as tearing by hand can create dust from the wool. For better results, it is advisable to add nutrient solution to the water.

The hydroponic kit is a practical foundation for anyone looking to grow fresh herbs and vegetables without soil right at home. With 50 pieces of each component, it is sufficient for an entire growing season or for filling a larger system.
