The floating solar fountain enlivens a bird bath, small garden pond, or decorative water container without cables and without connection to the electrical grid. It harnesses energy from a solar panel with a power of 3.5 W and stores excess energy in a built-in battery. This allows the fountain to continue operating even after sunset. The circumference of the float is adorned with 32 colourful LEDs, which illuminate the water jet and surface in the evening. Simply place the fountain on the water, and it will start operating in about three seconds in direct sunlight.
The battery with a capacity of 2000 mAh charges during the day from sunlight and, once fully charged, provides approximately four hours of evening fountain operation and lighting. The LED lights alternate between seven colours, giving the garden or terrace a colourful decoration after dark. You can change the shape of the water jet by swapping the nozzle – there are eight included in the package, each creating a different pattern from a single tall jet to a wide spray. A water level sensor ensures that the pump does not operate without water.

The plastic tubes are inserted into the holes around the float and can be shortened with scissors according to the size of the container. The fountain is then held in the middle of the bath and does not hit its walls. The panel should have direct sunlight; in the shade, under clouds, or when the panel is covered, the fountain operates weakly or not at all. Performance is also reduced by a lack of water and a clogged filter, so it is advisable to regularly top up the water level. The pump can be easily removed, opened, and rinsed, as can the filter sponge and rotor.
